"network password needs to be 40 bits or 104 bits...."
I'm running Windows XP Pro with service pak 2. I'm visiting my daughter and trying to connect to her wireless network. Last year when I was here, I was able to connect with no problem. Now, she's changed her password and when I try to enter it I get this message:"the network password needs to be 40 bits or 104 bits depending on your network configuration. This can be entered as 5 or 13 ascil characters or 26 hexadecimal characters." My system doesn't give me a choice for WEP or WPA - WEP is the only option. Are there updates that will fix this problem? thanks1 person got this answerI do too
